I’ve lived in the DFW area for most of my life and have been able to see all the amazing changes to the cities and towns here. Everything has grown so much in such a short amount of time.
I recently graduated college and have been working for a large investment firm in the DFW area. My role involves working with a lot of people, and it has taught me how important it is to build relationships with everyone you work with. I’ve also experienced firsthand how being kind and doing the right thing will get you so much farther in life, and that’s how I aim to treat everyone I encounter.
My family has also taught me the value of building relationships and helping others. They extended themselves quite a bit to help me get to where I am today, and now I want to start giving back as they reach their retirement years.
When I’m not helping someone sell a home, I enjoy playing basketball, lifting weights, and generally living a healthy lifestyle. Travel is something else I enjoy doing, and I used to travel four or five times a year or more because my parents work for an airline. (I love everything about travel except airports, with all the people rushing around you!)
I love to solve problems. As soon as my curiosity gets piqued by a problem, I’m doing everything I can to find a solution. People also tell me I’m extremely kind. I never want to put someone in a bad situation—it makes me uncomfortable even if I can do something to help them into a better situation but don’t. To me, doing the right thing and helping others is more important than just trying to make money or get ahead in life.
I love solving problems and doing good work so much that sometimes I have a hard time striking a work/life balance. I enjoy helping people and often forget to help myself. I get so invested in something that I go all-in on it—then pay the price later on when I start feeling burnt out. I realize now that it’s important to rest, take vacations, spend time with family, and enjoy hobbies to stay refreshed and motivated. By helping myself, I can better help others.
